About

Lester Portrait Prize finalist Jenny Davies has a passion for painting and is particularly drawn to portraiture. “There is a real joy in bringing someone to life through the vibrancy of oils” she says. Jenny has been painting and drawing for many years, having studied at Claremont School of Art in Perth, Mitchell School of Art New South Wales and with Perth artists Leanne Pearson, Drewfus Gates and Leon Holmes. She has completed realist courses at the Art Academy in Adelaide with Robin Eley, David Kassan and Shana Levenson. Jenny loves both impressionist and realist artwork and continues to explore both these styles.

Jenny's first love of portraiture has been joined in recent months by a desire to transform the mundane into the quirky. Who knew that rubber ducks could exude such daring or that cows could be so luscious when painted by this mother of two?

Many of the paintings on her website have been sold or are held in private collections. Some are still available for purchase. Please feel free to contact her for commissions big or small or to enquire about those paintings that interest you.
